John Travolta, the global Breitling ambassador, launched the new Breitling Navitimer 01 in Moscow.
Q: What do you prefer - to fly your jets or play in movies?
John Travolta: I played a lot and flew as a pilot many jets. I think I love all jets in the world. I guess I have this passion starting from my childhood. I spent my first 2500$ which I earned as an actor to buy an old plane. Unfortunately I cannot say the same thing about movies. It depends on the scenario and the director.
Q: Which of the characters you played resemble you?
John Travolta: I do not associate myself with any of my characters.
Q: You have a watch on your wrist. Could you tell us the price?
John Travolta: Prices differ from country to country so this question should be addressed to Breitling representative. The only thing I can say is that I wear Breitling watch with great pleasure and I was deeply impressed when I visited Breitling Chronometrie, the way each fine detail is produced and watches assembled. Q: As a pilot you know every single detail of a plane and being the watch ambassador do you know any peculiarities of watch movements? Do you know the difference between tourbillion and chronograph?
John Travolta: Frankly speaking I don’t know each single detail in the plane motor, I’m not a mechanic and do not maintenance my jets, I have a special team to do this. I adore piloting and don’t need to know everything about the motors. The same with watches, I know that the Breitling watch is precise and reliable watch that’s why I choose it. Probably I don’t know in details what tourbillion is but certainly I know what chronograph is and I use it when I go in for sports.
Q: Is it true that you plan to meet Russian scientologists?
John Travolta: No, I’m here for Breitling!
Q: Being a pilot and extremely brave person don’t you think that dancing is not very masculine?
John Travolta: No, I don’t think so at all. I danced a lot in my movies and I like dancing in my everyday life. I prefer salsa or basanova, something very energetic. I also like the way Russian men dance with straight back and legs raising high, I think it’s very masculine and very attractive.
Q: It’s your second time in Russia, what else do you know about our country?
John Travolta: I feel very comfortable here, people are very sexy and hospitable. The buildings are beautiful and of course Russian food is delicious, vodka and caviar. Especially caviar. Last time I visited St-Petersburg and Moscow and it was wonderful, I have a lot’s of Russian friends in US. For sure I will be back to Russia again.
Q: While you’re making press conference here, what is your daughter doing now?
John Travolta: I’m here with my sister and my daughter and they’re shopping now. Probably they’ll have some time to have a small tour around Moscow.
Q: What are your next plans for the future?
John Travolta: Definitely it’s birth of the child, travel with my family to Australia and a new exiting thriller movie.
