Edox, the official timekeeper of FIA World Rally Championship, the Class 1 World Powerboat Championship and the Dakar Rally revealed some of the surprises that the company has in store for Basel Watch Fair that starts next week.
The Grand Ocean collection is now augmented with two new timepieces – one for him (Chronodiver) and one for her (Chronolady). The Chronodiver has a redesigned case, with a new rotating bezel that feels like o combination between velvet and rubber. With a 42 mm diameter, the watch is PVD coated and equipped with Edox 10 calibre (it’s based on the Ronda 5040.B).
The same caliber was used for the ladies version that comes in a 36mm steel case with a snow white dial decorated with an embossed wind rose. Just like the rest of the Grand Ocean collection, the case back is engraved with a planisphere, underscoring the link connecting the Chronolady to the world of water sports.
The WRC collection is also augmented by a new arrival, the Chronorally Automatic Chronograph. Actuated by a Valjoux movement, the watch has a very masculine look, with a black PVD coating and carbon fibre dial. Designed for drivers and all car and motor sport enthusiasts, the Chronorally Automatic Chronograph offers all the usual features of the collection with the profiled rubber strap and the signature oversize push-button in eloxed aluminium. The 42mm diameter is ideal for all wrists and the guaranteed water resistance is 100-metre.
